Tom Kruckewitt
Vice President - Network Engineering

Tom Kruckewitt has over 20 years of experience building communications systems and infrastructure in both the public and private sector. He has a wide range of experience and knowledge in how customers use networks and how to build systems to meet these needs. At Yipes Communications, a first-generation Ethernet service provider, he was Director of Customer Network Integration, working directly with customers to develop Ethernet service solutions to meet a wide range of customer needs and requirements.

Prior to Yipes he was Manager of Systems and Infrastructure at Alcoa, a multinational Fortune 100 company, where he built the computing and networking infrastructure to support Alcoa's automotive design and manufacturing activities across the U.S. and Europe.

While working with Pacific Gas and Electric and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), he contributed to a number of advanced research projects which focused on applications of computing systems and infrastructure for system control, analysis and telemetry in the electric utility industry.

Tom holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Wisconsin, and is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple U.S. states.

When Tom is not busy building things, he likes to escape to the mountains for hiking, skiing and backpacking.
